Mary Lou Webb (BS, '73 MS) has been named the new head of the De– partment of Management and Com– merce at Portland Community Col– lege, Portland , Ore. She is the former director of alumni affairs at Portland State. '70 Doug Muck (MST) has been nam– ed district athletic director fo r Newberg, Ore. , Schools. He former– ly served II years as athletic direc– tor at Central Oregon and Chemeketa Community Colleges, and has twice been named Coach of the Year in Oregon. '72 Tom Dunlap (BS) has been named store manager for the new Food 4 Less grocery in Tualatin , Ore. The 55,000- square- foot store is the sixth Oregon outlet opened by the discount warehouse grocery chain, which cur– rently has 110 stores across the country. Charles Swudamire Charles Stoudamire (BS) has been appointed director of Safety and Health Education for the Oregon Trail Chapter of the American Red Cross in Portland . '73 David Hansen (MS) has been named dean of students at Linfield College in McMinnville, Ore. He is a professo r of bu s iness and economics there. Ronald W. Naito, M.D. (BS), a Portland internist, George Scherzer ('80 MBA), executive vice president of Black & Co. Inc., Portland , and Masaru Yatabe ('69 BS), ass istant vice president at First Interstate Bank of Oregon, have been named to the KBPS Advisory Council for Com– munity Listening, working on behalf of the Portland non- commercial radio station. '74 Duane A. Bosworth (MS), an associate with the law firm of Ragen, Tremaine, Krieger, Schmeer & Neill , Portland , has been elected to the Na– tional Executive Council of the Young Lawyers Division of the American Bar Assoc iation. Libby A. Durbin (BS) was named winner of the tenth annual Celeste Turner Wright Poetry Prize competi– tion held earlier this year at the University of California at Davis, where she is a graduate student in creative writing. The nationwide competition is sanctioned by the Academy of American Poets and is sponsored by faculty members at more than 150 American colleges. Paul Eisenberg (BS) has been named pres ident of the Dant Development Corp. real estate firm in Portland . James Rolison (BS) has been re– elected regional vice president of the National Electronics Sales and Serv– ice Dealers Association. He is secretary/treasurer of Electromatic Inc., Portland . Delva L. Van Roekel (BS, '78 MST) has been named assistant professor of education at Atlantic Christian College in Wilson, North Carolina. She previously taught at Washington State School fo r the Deaf and Plea– sant Hill High School. '75 Andrew Clement (BS) continues juggling two careers in Eugene, Ore., as an attorney in private practice and as a part- time administrative law judge deciding workers' compensa– tion cases for state Insurance Com– missioner Ted Kulongoski . Clement, a 50- pound adult quadriplegic resulting from severe muscular dystrophy as a child, is married to Judy Mason, a partner in a Eugene nursery school. He is a commissioner with the Port of St. Helens, Ore. Suzanne M. Hall, M.D. (BS), a car– diologist with offices in Portland and Tualatin , Ore., is the new medical director of the Meridian Park Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation Pro– gram in Tualatin. Terry Neuburger (BS, '82 MST) has been named women's volleyball coach at Mount Hood Community College in Gresham, Ore. The Saints have enjoyed a highly successful volleyball record ·since the program was begun some 17 years ago. Her husband , Carl Neuburger ('72 BS, '75 MST), operates the Portland Volleyball Club and also coaches the women's volleyball team at the University of Portland. Douglas G. Pickett (BA) and Melissa A. Turner ('78 BS) have joined the Portland law firm of Bolliger, Hampton & Tarlow. Turner will emphasize commercial litigation. Pickett, who is also a member of the Washington State Bar, will emphasize banking and finance, creditors' rights and commercial litigation . '76 Gary Bartholomew (BS) , a finan– cial specialist with Multnomah County Assessment and Taxation, has been re- elected to the board of directors of the Portland chapter of the National Association of Accoun– tants.
