DeMuniz (BS ) has been chosen by Governor Goldschmidt to fill a vacancy on the Oregon Court of Appeals. DeMuni z earned hi s law degree from Will – amette Uni versity in 1975. After spending two years as a deputy public defender, he began a pri– vate practice in Salem in 1977, spec ializing in complex civil liti – gation at both the trial and appe l– late court leve ls. Frances Gage (BS , ' 75 MS) is completing her second year in Panama as a teacher for the De– partment of Defense Dependents Schools (DODDS) at Fort Clayton Elementary School. Prior to her post in Panama , she was at Wtirzburg Elementary School in Wtirzburg, Germany, fo r four years. Gage plans to stay in Panama for one more school year. PSU 26 '74 Michael Dianich (BS) of Corbett , Ore ., reports that he served as chai rman of the Pac ifi c Northwest Section of The Soc iety of Nava l Architects and Marine Engineers for 1988/89. Avel L. Gordly (BS) has been cho– sen to serve on the Portl and Future Focus project. Gordl y, along with nearly 50 other civic leaders, wi ll examine trends and issues in Port– land and set a vision with spec ific work plans for the city. Holmes recentl y received her Doctor of Musica l Arts degree from the Uni – versity of Washington. Susan Dia ne Rynerson (BA) has been named executi ve director of Oregon Women Lawyers. The statew ide organi zati on, now in its second year, is one of a growing number of women's bar assoc ia– tions nationwide which promote the interests of women legal pro– fess ionals. Rynerson, who re– ceived her law degree from Santa C lara Uni versity School of Law, is the fi rst executi ve director. She is a member of the Oregon and Cali fo rni a bars. '75 Kathy Edwards (MS) is a training consultant fo r Young Communica– tions in Beaverton , Ore. Edwards formerly a teacher, trains peopl~ to poli sh the ir written and oral communication skill s. George Drake (BA) is pres ident for the Oregon Executi ves Assoc i– ation during the first term of 1990 . Drake is the owner and creati ve di– rector of Tom Drake & Associ ates, an adverti sing firm . Diane Parkinson Fisker (BS) has been appointed Oregon Outreach coordinator for the Northwest Dani sh Foundation, a non-profit organi zation serving and assisting the elderly Dani sh community, and giving cul tural information and referral services in Oregon and Washington. Fisker was an Adult Education instructor at Port– land Community College for the last l8 years. Ala n Ha ight (BS) has been named senior vice president of U. S. Bank in Portland . Haight , who started with U.S . Bank in 1970 in a col– lege work program , is sales and service manager of the Branch Banking Division fo r Oregon. He is a graduate of the Pac ific Coast Banking School. '77 Robert Ba iley (MSW) is the re– centl y appointed director of Com– munity Youth Services (CYS) of Washi ngton County. The agency is comprised of newly merged Beaverton , Tigard and Forest Grove youth services. Bailey who lives in Hillsboro with his wife and I I-year-old son, has spent seven years with the state child protective services. His role with CYS will be mostly administra– tive . CYS offers programs for family counseling, vocational training opportunities, high school completion classes and teen parent services, serving as a resource for low-i ncome and at– risk youth.
