Bade is responsible for leading a team of internal audit staff in both performance and financial audits. Barbara Gay Mitchell MS teaches kindergarten at Cedaroak Primary School in West Linn. Dr. Thomas Del Zotto is a doc– tor of pod iatric medicine and surgery. Del Zotto has a private practice in Sacramento County, Cali fornia. Chris Rathe is chief executive officer at Bio Research Inc. , a biochip di tribution firm in Redmond, Washington. Maynard Barton is director of operations and accounting at Hollywood Ribbon Industries Inc. , in Los Ange les. Tamira Clark MURP is pro– gram and funding manager with the Oregon Department of Transportation in Portland. Teresa "Terry" Cline is an accountant at Hoots, Weyant & Baker P.C., in Salem. C line pro– vides accounting, tax, and auditing services to small busi– ness clients. She formerly was a software con ultant working overseas. Mark Kendle is a production supervisor at LSI Logic, a wafer fabrication firm in Gresham. After graduation, Kendle stud– ied electronics and performed maintenance on aircraft nuclear weapons in the U.S. Air Force. He writes, "... I never pictured myself with a career in the emiconductor industry. I guess it goes to show that a college degree is just a beginning and does not lock a person into any certain type of work for the re t of one's life. I have found that my business administration degree has had applications in every job I have held since graduation .. ." 24 P U MAGAZINE SPRING 2001 Cathy Meyers is a member of the Workers' Compensation Board, a judicial review agency in Salem. Kurian Varughese MST is administrator of the water qual– ity laboratory with the city of Las C ruces, New Mexico. Nancy Faber writes, "My most important work since gradua– tion- motherhood ! Our miracle boy was born July 1999 and is the light of our life. I have worked at Bonneville Power Administration for the past 21 years; I am a senior procure– ment analyst in the contracts and property management pol– icy office." Larry Hattan is a cardiac moni– tor technician at Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland . Hattan has also received national certification as a per– sonal trainer and is a staff mem– ber at the 24 Hour Fitness fac ility in Beaverton. Anne Marie Philbrook writes, "Completed second degree at The Academy of Art College in San Francisco with a BFA in interior arch itecture and design in 1999. After working as a designer with Catholic Health– care West, have started my own design firm, AMP Interior Design, in Concord, California ..." Ronald Pomeroy is the senior planner for the city of McMin– nville, responsible for the city's comprehensive, long-range planning projects. He also staffs local committees associated with the historic downtown. E. Patricia "Pat" Vernon is pro– gram development manager for the Oregon Department of Envi– ronmental Quality Air Quali ty Division. Vernon previously served four years as environmen– tal manager of compliance program fo r Fred Meyer. Joy Enyeart-Steele is marketing and business development man– ager at LDC Design Group, a civil engineering, planning, and surveying firm in Hillsboro. Jack Koopman is a project manager with The Boeing Company in Seattle. Diane Hardiman Smith retired in January after teaching dental hygiene at Portland Community College for 28 years. Smith writes, ". . . no big retirement plans yet-my dance card is fi ll– ing up though." Barbara Stanbro BS '92, MSW '94 is a social worker in a gen– eral private practice offering psychotherapy to ad ults. Stan– bro has a special intere t in pregnancy related issues, includ– ing loss, infertility, adoption, post-abortion trauma, and post– partum depression. She lives in Portland . Michael Woolfolk is a vice president and global currency strategist at The Bank of New York, a commercial banking firm in New York. Woolfo lk lives in Jersey City, New Jersey. Jeremy Breedlove owns Daedalus Fine Books, a u ed book store in Portland. Kent Buhler is manager of research operations at Cell Therapeutics Inc., a biotech firm in Seattle. Patricia "Trish" Trout MA is a partner at CIRCA, the Devel– opment Company, specializing in consultations regarding cor– porate and nonprofit develop– ment. The company is headquartered in Portland. Patricia Fink MURP is service development manager at Tri– Met in Portland. Nancy Macy is a women's health care nurse practitioner at the Newberg Women's Clinic in Newberg. Erik Norby i busine s manager at Advantage ales and Market– ing, a grocery and food broker– age in Portland. Lisa Parent is a caseworker with the Oregon Department of Adult and Family Services. She lives in Portland. Don Reid is a technical support engineer at ABC Technologies, a bu iness software firm in Beaverton. Janet Taylor is owner of Oregon Book Tours, a literary publicity company that special– izes in promoting Northwest authors and Northwest events. Taylor writes, "In the cour e of my work, I've met some of the authors I discovered under the tutelage of the English Depart– ment and Dr. Ray Mariels. Kai-Lukas Barlow is senior human resources manager at Viz Communications, a publisher of Japanese animation and comics such as Pokeman and Dragonball Z. Barlow lives in San Fran– cisco. Phillip Crawford MS '94 i director of data processing and computing at Bardsley & Neidhart Inc., a market research firm in Portland. Anne Krieger is an office administrator at Kilmer, Voorhees & Laurick P.C ., in Portland. Krieger has been with the law firm for 15 year . Alan Scally is a first-year law student, specializing in criminal law, at the Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College in Portland.
