ALUM NOTES Leslie (Milan) Allen MS is a faculty member in the mental health and human service pro– gram at Mt. Hood Community College. Allen also has a private practice specializing in career counseling. Andrea Campanile received a juris doctor degree from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, on June 6. While al William Mitchell, Cam– panile was president of the ltalian American Student Bar Association. She plans to practice employment law. Katherine Huit MA is director of collections (artifact, library and archive) al the Evergreen Aviation Museum in McMin– nville. Huit says that one of the highlights of her job was the opportunity to document the restoration and reassembly of the Howard Hughes Spruce Goose aircraft. She recently wrote and produced a docu– mentary called Dream to Fly: Howard Hughes and the Flying Boat, featuring Walter Cronkite as the narrator. She is currently worki ng with the museum's curator to create an exhibit about smoke jumpers. Huit would welcome undergraduates from Portland State looking for experience in museum work. Lonnie Kishiyama grad uated from the University of Maryland school of law and works as an attorney with the U.S. Coast Guard in Washington , D.C. Brent Norton served for seven years in the U .5. Army, following his graduation from PSU. Sta– tioned at Fort Bragg, orth Car– olina, orton deployed to the Middle East, Latin America, and the Balkans with units of the 82nd Airborne Division and 7th Special Forces Group. After leav– ing the military, he continued his commitment to public service. He now serves in the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs at the U.S. Department of State. Quaranrillo runs competitively, enjoys mountain biking, and races J-24 sailboats. She and her husband, Joe, live in Dillon, Colorado. Matt Devlin MBA is vice presi– dent of marketing al Twin County Credit Union in Tacoma, Washington. David English earned an MBA degree from Marylhurst Univer– sity in August. He teaches Eng– lish to Korean children at the Sunllower Language School in Kyoungsan, Daegu, South Korea. Lawrence "Larry" Lowen is manager at Ford Credit's service center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Sheila Muckridge is marketing coordinator al Parsons Brincker– hoff, an international organiza– tion providing planning, engi– neering, and program and con– struction management services. Muckridge lives in Portland. Cory Finnegan is assistant counsel for the National Treasury Employees Union in Washington , D. C. James elson is a defense ana– lyst with the Government Affairs Office defense team in Washing– ton, D.C. Nelson formerly worked in U.S. Sen. Gordon Smith's office for four years. David Ratliff is moving back to Portland from Laredo, Texas, after accepting the position of central library administrator with Multnomah County Library. Jon Yeakey MS is leadership development specialist for T-Mobile Redmond. Kristy Brown Blackwell gradu– ated cum laude from Arizona State University college of law in May Blackwell now works for Winsor Law Firm in Mesa, Arizona. Brandon Cook BM '02 is a gui– tar teacher al Adrian Guitars in Oregon City Cook aspires to a performance career. He com– peted for and won the privilege of jamming backstage with Metallica prior to their Portland concert. Steven Flunker MBA was one of 248 managers from the JCPenney Company recognized with the chairman's award , the company's highest honor for managerial excellence. Flunker lives in Frisco, Texas. Twilla Harrington is a registered nurse with Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland. Jacob ''.Jake" Lancaster is an associate in the office services group al Grubb & Ellis in Port– land. Lancaster specializes in landlord and tenant representa– tion of commercial office space. C.j. Martin is a corporate litiga– tor practicing law with the San Diego firm of Pillsbury Winth rop LLP Martin's practice focuses on business and com– plex litigation. He is active in fund raising for the Children's Miracle Network and has begun organizing an association of young professionals in San Diego who are commiued to raising funds and developing growth strategies for local charitable organizations. Allen Merritt MPA is a pediatri– cian practicing at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend. He also serves with multiple organiza– tions dedicated to the well– being of children in Deschutes County and throughout the state. Merritt was the 2003 recipient of the Oregon Medical Association's Doctor-Citizen of the Year Award. Paula Brown is an internal auditor for CNF lnc.'s Menlo Worldwide Forwarding Group in Portland. Khalaf Hadded PhD works in the ministry of planning in Amman , Jordan.
