Merrie Ziady MST '82 was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi, an honor society that recognizes all academic disciplines, during a May ceremony at PSU. '81 Susan Garrett-Joye is a family advocacy counselor with the U.S. Navy and is head of the men's domestic violence treat– ment program in Marysvi lle, WashingLOn. After graduation from PSU, Garreu-Joye earned a master's in social work [ram the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. '82 John Cleary is an instructor and adviser with Steps to Suc– cess, a training and employment program at Mt. Hood Commu– nity College. He is married LO Lee Brayrnen -C leary (formerly Mary Weston) '79, MA '85, a poet, writer, and educator for Mt. Hood and Portland commu– nity colleges. Their daughter, Erin , is a second-year PSU premed student. Geri Hoyt Jarvis is director of claims at the KinderCare Learn– ing Centers corporate office in Portland. Coalman is responsible for developing and implementing programs for seniors. M. Orhan Harmanci is owner of Harmanci Etiket, a label com– pany in Istanbul , Turkey, whose cuswmers in lude Nike, Banana Republic, and Gap. Wendy Kliewer is an associate professor of psychology at Vir– ginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Robert "Rob" Edmiston is pro– gram direcLOr of lending with The Enterprise Foundation in Portland . He works \vith local nonprofits, loaning them money to cover predevelopment expenses for affordable housing projects. Roger Muller is medical direc– LOr of emergency services for Legacy Good Samari tan Hospital in Portland. Muller also serves as partner and direcLOr o[ North– west Acute Care Specialists. A diplomate o[ the American Col– lege of Emergency Physicians, Muller is medical education coordinawr for Good Samaritan's emergency department. Lynn Rasmussen is finance direcwr for Wasco Courny Rasmussen has been finance director for the Mid-Columbia Council o[ Governments, a gen– eral ledger supervisor for Mult– nomah County, and a budget analyst for the city of Gresham. Kathy Shearman is a human resources specialist in employee benefits with the U.S. Navy Centralized Service Cemer in Silverdale, Washington. Shearman has worked [or the federal government for 22 years. Tali Walters is a designated forensic psychologist for the Commonwealth o[ Massachu– seus. Her specialties are in the areas of criminal responsibility, competency to stand trial, risk assessmem, and serial murders. She is also a panner in Cam– bridge Forensic Consultants, a private group practice specia liz– ing in high-profile criminal cases; on the faculty of Harvard Medical School; and a psycholo– gist al the Massachusetts General Hospital. Peggy Scolnick MURP '86 and her husband, Rob Guill , have opened Tribe of the Winds LLC, an an gallery and gift, shop m northeast Portland, which specializes in immigram an and [air trade goods from around the globe.
