'82 Richard Carson has been named director of Oregon C ity's Com– munity Development Depart– ment, in charge of its planning, engineering and building func– tions. Farhad Khosravi is chief of the traffic system development branch for the California Depart– ment of Tran portation in anta Ana. David Young is a senior design engineer for General Motors in Warren, Mich. Young writes that he has been working on advanced chassis systems for eight years and some of hi designs have been accepted for production. '83 David Boe BA '88, MAT '90 i marketing manager for TRM Copy Centers Corporation, a company pecializing in self-ser– vice copy equipment. Boe travels exten ivcly and spent mo t of July in Paris and London. He and his wife, Jennifer Young '87, live in Portland . Peter DeGraff MBA was named director of credit research at Morley Capital Management in Lake Oswego, after having been senior investment analyst for three years. Melanie Lightbody rece ived her masters in librarianship and i the assistant director of the ewport Public Library. Mariko Locke owns a State Farm insurance agency and has used Portland State interns for projects. he writes, "[ believe in go ing back to the chool that gave me an opportunity to intern." Porter Sexton PhD is the new superintendent of the C latskanie School District. Sexton formerly was ass istant superintendent of Junction City schools. Cynthia Swanson has started a Bend firm, Focus on Service, which provides training and con- ulting for improv ing customer relations. Gary Rall is pres ident of Portland Rock Gym. Rall is an in tructor in rock climbing. Suzanne Rempfer is owner of uzy Bears in San Jo e, Calif. Rempfer makes hand-sewn mini– ature teddy bears that are fully jointed. Rempfer has tarted a club called Tiny Teddy Lovers C lub for people who make and collect teddy bears. '84 Nancy Allemang is a clinical su– pervisor for Bridgeway, a non– profit organization in Salem that provides outpatient treatment for chemical dependency. Allemang and her husband, Ros , al o produce a weekly cable television program called "Spiritual Adventures." Dan Bernstein works on the equity trading floor of Merrill Lynch in New York. Sherrie Gradin MA ' 6 has returned to Portland tate as director of writing in the English Department. Gradin was on the faculty at the University of Missi sippi in Oxford.
