Construction of a hotel on the site is not scheduled to begin before 1994. James Tompkins (BS) was named Orego n's Outstanding American History Teacher for 1990 by the Daughters of the American Revolu– tion . Tompkins, who is a teacher for the Orient School District, serves on the board of the Oregon Trail Foun– dation. The foundation is working toward building a $ 12.5 million " End of the Oregon Trail" museum in Oregon City. '70 Don K. Susan Robinson Carlton (BS ) is the director of the Foster Grand– parents program for the Lex ington Council on Aging, in Columbia, S. C. Robinson lives nearby with her husband and two sons. Stephen G. Dick (BS,'72 MS) is general manager of Vancouver Fur– niture, Vancouver, Wash. Patrick Lockhart (BS ) has been elected to the Po rtland/Oregon Vi s it o rs Association Board o f Directors. Lockhart is president of Executive Properties in Portland. '72 Eric Egland (BS) was appoi nted to the West Linn, Ore., School Board's school district boundary committee. Alcena Boozer (MS) has been named principal at Jefferson High School in Portland. Susan L. Terry (BS) is the public information off icer for th e Metropolitan Transportation Com– mission (MTC) of the San Francisco Bay area. '75 Gregory Blake (BA) is a software e ng in ee r for Goal Systems in Clayton, Calif. Blake provides tech– nica l support for software sales. William J. Bohnaker (TESL) is the author of The flollvw Doll , a nonfic– ti on book abou t contemporary Japanese culture, published by Bal– lantine Books. Bohnaker. who is currently teaching culture classes at the University of Heidelberg, is also at work on a novel. Richardson, who is director of state and local govern– me n l re latio n s for Northw es t Natural Gas Co., was first appointed lo the board in 1986. '76 Thomas Feely (BS ) is currently management officer at the Portland Fire Bureau.
